Options Appoints Former Pico Head of Engineering To Management Team

Peter joins Options as a Senior Business Engineer, where he will be responsible for innovations to drive new business growth and support the firm’s managed colocation services. Peter has worked in network technology for 26 years, concentrating specifically on high-quality technology for trading and financial services for the past 17 years. In that time, he has worked at several major service providers including Thomson Financial, Radianz, AlgoSpan and Pico before joining Options.

 During his time at Pico, Peter migrated the AlgoSpan network into the embolic stages of Pico’s EMEA network, headed up the EMEA Implementation, Client Service Delivery and DC Operations teams before going on to manage Implementation engineering globally. His appointment comes as the latest in a series of senior hires across the U.S., Asia and European regions and follows recent news of Options’ managed computer science engineer salary
 expansion across Asia, Australia and Canada. In January, Options also announced a significant investment from Boston-based Abry Partners.

Recognized for contributions that have significantly promoted technical progress in their fields, UC Santa Barbara professors B.S. Manjunath and Yuan Xie have been selected to receive the Edward J. McCluskey Technical Achievement Award from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Computer Society.
